1920s does modern couture
This dress is a heart breaker.
It's amazing when you can see the construction and process of work that goes into a garment. This 1920s cotton beaded dress was possibly one-upon-a-time FULLY beaded- or on her way to be.
Shadows of the previous beads still remain by way of the original drawn on map of beads. Thousands of cut crystal rhinestones and glass beads embellish the majority of the hem and body. This unfinished/ finished process looks more like Modern couture than Antique clothes.
To see and wear the actually process is a real gift from the past. Portions of unfitted and scattered beading seem intentional in a modern designer way.
The dress is cotton- giving it more stability than, say, silk.
This is a really fantastic piece and a relevant wardrobe staple- wether Vintage is your thing- Or designer!!
Dres is best for S/M- intentionally worn large. It is in perfect condition.
Bust- up to 36"
Waist- up to 36" however meant to fit loose so we suggest 32" and under
