We ship each weeks orders on Monday from our store front location in San Francisco.
ABOUT OUR VINTAGE
We define our garments in four categories:
True Vintage - A garment that is 1800’s to 1950’s
Vintage - A garment that is 1950’s to 1990s
Modern Vintage - A garment that is unusual. Modern Vintage garments have been curated by VACATION to be interpreted as fashion forward.
Designer Vintage - A garment made by an established fashion house. These items may span all eras.
ABOUT VINTAGE SIZING
Vintage sizing is unreliable, sizes vary from decade to decade, per designer, handmade vs factory made etc. We suggest that you refer to the exact measurements listed per garment rather than the listed tag size.
The most accurate way to guarantee that a vintage garment will fit is by measuring something you already own and then comparing those measurements to what is listed per garment.
ABOUT VINTAGE CONDITION
All the VACATION listed items are in excellent condition. Any minor flaw will be noted in detail within the listing. All vintage garments are listed AS IS.
It is very important that our customer be satisfied with the garment purchased, so please contact us with any questions you have before the item is purchased, as refunds are generally not issued.
HOW WE MEASURE
All measurements are taken with the garment laying flat, and measured in inches.
BUST: Armpit to armpit with the garment laying flat and then doubled.
WAIST: The smallest point at the waistline with the garment laying flat and then doubled. For low rise or drop waists we measure 1-2” below the natural waist. For empire waists, measurements are taken 1-2” above the natural waist.
HIPS: The fullest part of the hips with the garment laying flat and then doubled.
SLEEVE LENGTH: The seam at the shoulder to the bottom of the sleeve.
SHOULDERS: The seam at one shoulder to the seam on the other shoulder.
INSEAM: On the inside of the leg, length of the crotch seam to the ankle hem.
RISE: The crotch seam to the natural waist.
TOTAL LENGTH: The highest point on the shoulder to the very longest point on the garment.
ABOUT VACATION SHIPPING
All items are shipped on Mondays from our Brick and Mortar store front in San Francisco.
SHIPPING by standard USPS. As of January 2013 the USPS offers free tracking numbers which, on request will be included with invoice.
INSURANCE or special requests for shipping must be addressed before the items are shipped, and additional charges will apply.
RUSHED shipments are per request, and we will adjust shipping cost accordingly. As always, please contact us with any questions as we are most likely able to accomodate.
LOCAL PICKUP is ok with us! Postage and handling will be refunded upon local pick up. Our storefront is located at 651 Larkin St, San Francisco, CA 94109 and we are open Wednesday thru Sunday Noon till 8.
CUSTOMS is at your own risk. We assume ABSOLUTELY no responsibility for items held up, denied, returned or confiscated by your country's Customs. We will always have proof of shippment, but what happens once your item leaves us is 100% out of our control. Customs items will be marked as "gift" to help aleviate taxes and tarrifs.
SALES TAX is required for all purchases within the state of California.
